Ramp & Lift Installation Technician | Next Day Access Detroit

The Opportunity
Next Day Access Detroit installs ramps, stair lifts, porch lifts, grab bars, and other mobility equipment that helps seniors and people with disabilities live safely and independently at home. We're looking for a skilled, hands-on technician to join our growing team and take the lead on installations across Metro Detroit.
This is a great fit for someone with a construction, carpentry, remodeling, or handyman background who wants steady, meaningful work — you'll see the direct impact of what you build, working on a variety of jobs instead of the same task every day.
What You'll Do
- Install ramps, stair lifts, porch lifts, grab bars, vehicle lifts, and related equipment to code and manufacturer spec
- Perform on-site evaluations and sketch job plans — equipment, layout, and labor needed
- Troubleshoot and resolve installation and service issues in the field
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and company tools, making sure you have what's needed for each job
- Keep customers informed and provide a great experience from arrival to completion
- Complete simple paperwork for each job and check in with the branch daily
Who We're Looking For
- Hands-on and mechanically capable — comfortable with power tools and construction-type work
- Background in construction, carpentry, remodeling, handyman work, or a similar physical trade
- Able to lift and move up to 100 lbs. and work in varying weather and terrain
- Comfortable with basic technology (smartphone, tablet, GPS, simple software)
- Comfortable with basic job-site math (measurements, fractions, decimals)
- Clean driving record, able to pass a background check and drug screening
